1. Choose the right hoop.

The hoop supports the fabric during embroidery, preventing it from stretching or wrinkling. Use:

• Light fabric: iron-on or water-soluble stabilizer.
• Knit or elastic fabric: cut-away stabilizer to prevent deformation.
• Thicker fabrics: tear-away stabilizer can work well.

2. Correct thread tension adjustment.

Improper tension can cause puckering or looping. To test:

• Do a test embroidery and check if the upper and lower threads are balanced.
• The bobbin thread should not show on the top.
• Adjust tension according to thread and fabric type.

3. Firm fabric hooping.

The fabric should be well stretched in the hoop, but without excessive tension to avoid deformation. For a good fit:

• Tighten the hoop screw firmly.
• Use temporary adhesive for extra fixation, if necessary.
• Avoid pulling the fabric too much after hooping, as this can cause distortions.
