1. Choose the right hoop.

The hoop supports the fabric during embroidery, preventing it from stretching or wrinkling. Use:

• Light fabric: iron-on or water-soluble stabilizer.
• Knit or stretchy fabric: cut-away stabilizer to prevent distortion.
• Thicker fabrics: tear-away stabilizer can work well.

2. Correct thread tension adjustment.

Improper tension can cause puckering or loops. To test:

• Do a test embroidery and see if the top and bottom threads are balanced.
• The bobbin thread should not appear on the top side.
• Adjust the tension according to the type of thread and fabric.

3. Firm fabric placement in the hoop.

The fabric should be well stretched in the hoop, but not overly tight to avoid distortion. For a good fit:

• Tighten the hoop screw well.
• Use temporary adhesive for extra hold if necessary.
• Avoid pulling the fabric too much after securing it, as this can cause distortions.

4. Use appropriate needle and thread.
